The continuously variable transmission (CVT) provides an outstanding driving experience and allows the engine to always operate at the most efficient rpm level, enabling it to maximize efficiency under all driving conditions.
The 1.5-liter, single overhead camshaft, aluminum-alloy i-VTEC® 4-cylinder engine uses state-of-the-art engineering technology to produce impressive power, yet it still helps the Civic Hybrid obtain excellent fuel-economy ratings and an Advanced Technology Partial Zero-Emission Vehicle (AT-PZEV) rating, all on regular gasoline.
The IMA electric motor works in conjunction with the gasoline engine and supplies additional torque in assist mode. The motor's ultra-thin design allows it to be mounted between the engine and the transmission. The motor also functions as the generator for the IMA system during deceleration and as a starter, quickly spinning the engine up to idle speed.
Beautifully designed 15-inch alloy wheels enhance the style of the Civic Hybrid.
Keep your keys in your pocket or purse when you're getting in or out of your Civic Hybrid. The Smart Entry feature detects when your remote is near your vehicle, allowing you to lock and unlock your doors with greater convenience and ease.
Parking in cramped quarters? Not to fear. The side mirrors conveniently fold inward, giving you a few extra inches of breathing room. And when you're on the road, the driver's mirror features a wide viewing angle to help you keep tabs on your surroundings.
The two-tier instrument panel might look good from the passenger seat, but it is best appreciated from the driver’s point of view.
The 7-inch Display Audio feature works like a smartphone. Tap on a menu option and then pinch or swipe the screen to use its intuitive features.
The intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID) displays fuel economy, audio data or a personal photo. Plus, your Eco Score is displayed after each drive to help you keep track of how efficiently you’re driving.
A single-angle rearview camera with guidelines comes on models without navigation, while navigation-equipped models offer three camera angles to choose from: 180-degree wide view, 130-degree normal view, and an overhead view of the rear bumper.
The HondaLink® featuring Aha™ app can help you access news, social media, personalized restaurant searches, Internet radio, audio books and more.
The subscription-free Honda HD Digital Traffic feature (on navigation models) alerts you to current street and freeway traffic conditions, helps guide you around gridlock and displays alternate routes.
Every Civic comes equipped with a single-angle rearview camera. Navigation-equipped models offer even more perspective, with three different modes (Wide, Normal and Top) to make parking and reversing that much easier. More than just convenient, all of our rearview cameras are also NHTSA recommended crash avoidance safety technology.
The latest-generation Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure is a Honda-exclusive body design that enhances occupant protection and crash compatibility in frontal collisions. The ACE design utilizes a network of connected structural elements to distribute crash energy more evenly throughout the front of the vehicle. This enhanced frontal crash-energy management helps to reduce the forces transferred to the passenger compartment and can help to more evenly disperse the forces transferred to other vehicles in a crash.
The anti-lock braking system (ABS) uses a special modulator to pulse the brakes to help prevent wheel lockup. This helps the driver retain steering control when braking hard. The Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) system balances the braking forces at each wheel according to how the car is dynamically loaded.
